Legends of British rock, Dire Straits have sold over 120 million albums worldwide. Today DSL Dire Straits Legacy bring back their iconic music, performed by musicians who recorded and toured with Dire Straits, over 30 years ago.
Alan Clark was Dire Straits’ first keyboardist, Phil Palmer and Danny Cummings both recorded On Every Street, Mel Collins on singles “Love Over Gold” and “Twisting by the Pool.” All have performed live with Dire Straits on multiple global tours.
Other DSL members include George Michael’s bassist Steve Walters, the drummer Cristiano Micalizzi, Primiano Di Biase, Europe’s most in-demand and sought-after keyboardist, and last but not least frontman Marco Caviglia who is widely regarded as the world’s leading authority on Mark Knopfler’s unique guitar-playing style. A popular comedian turned actor who started his career on-stage as a dare, funnyman Eddie Griffin has built an ever-growing fan base since jumping onto the comedy scene in 1990.
Born in Kansas City, Missouri, Eddie was voted class clown three years in a row in high school. His first love was always dance and by the young age of 16, he opened his own dance studio and was choreographing the Kansas City Chiefs half-time shows. Vince Neil, the legendary front man of Mötley Crüe, is an international superstar, accomplished businessman and heartfelt philanthropist. His unmistakable voice leads some of the greatest rock songs of a generation including “Wild Side”, “Shout at the Devil,” “Home Sweet Home,” “Girls, Girls, Girls,” “Dr. Feelgood,” “Kickstart My Heart,” “Same Ol’ Situation,” and many others.
Raised on the tough streets of Compton, California, Vince Neil fell in love with music as a child, developing a broad vocabulary that ranged from classic Motown to Hard Rock. In January of 2016, brothers Zachary and Dylan Zmed and their partner Burleigh Drummond began developing The Everly Brothers Experience. Since then, they have celebrated the pivotal sounds of The Everly Brothers with enthusiastic crowds all across the US and overseas The Zmeds say, “We are not impersonators, Our aim is to honour the aesthetics of their iconic sound and honour their unique place in music history all while having a little fun telling our own personal story,” and they do just that. Growing up with a father as a traveling singer/dancer/actor the Zmed Brothers continually strive to pay homage to their roots by always infusing an instinctual blend of entertainment and contextual education in their performance. The 5-piece band consists of drums (Burleigh Drummond), electric guitar, bass, and the two singing brothers (Zachary and Dylan Zmed) up front with the signature Everly acoustic guitars.
